Bales, Rickey L., age 55, of Knoxville passed away September 26, 2014 at home with his wife and family by his side. He was employed at Shoffner-Kalthoff Mechanical and Plumbing Services for 21 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Alvin E. and Inez E. Bales; brother, Paul W. Bales. He was a loving and devoted Pap to his grandchildren, Carly and Justin Hager. He is survived by wife of 16 years, Brenda Bales; step-daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Chris Allen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Tommy Blackwell, Brenda and Alfred Tullock; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin “Steve” and Martha Bales; sister-in-law, Bobbie Bales; nephews, Charles and Michael Tullock, Michael Bales, Allen Blackwell and David Geames; nieces, Kim Blackwell and Brenda McClarnon; special friend, Leon Marlar. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Sunday with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. David Russell Tullock officiating.
