Roger Dale Parker

Roger Dale Parker, age 56, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord after a long hard fight. He was a member of Euclid Ave. Baptist Church as a young man. He was employed by American Screen Art for about 30 years. He lived for his family and especially for his precious granddaughter, Hollyn. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather and the best friend to his wife, Deborah. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Cora Parker; mother and father-in-law, Gene and Grace Tucker; brothers, Raymond and Sammy; sisters, Mary and Clara; great niece, Shea; beloved fur baby, Tilly. Survivors include wife of 35 years, Deborah Parker; son, Zachery Parker and wife Alyssa; daughter, Renae Parker; step-son, Joseph Moore; granddaughter, Hollyn; brother, James Parker (whom he called his oldest child), John Parker; sisters, Charlotte Keck and Mary Ann Parker; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday with the funeral service to follow in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel at 12 noon Wednesday to go to Lynnhurst Cemetery for the interment.
