Ruth Large Broome

Ruth Large Broome, 88, passed away March 4, 2025. Preceded in death by husband, Hal Dean Broome, daughter Diane Broome Spining and parents, Lawrence Costal Large and Gussie Cline Large. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Broome Pearsall and Robert Pearsall; grandchildren: Andrew (Robyn) Birdwell, McKenzie Birdwell, Christopher Pearsall, Christian Spining and Riley Spining; great-grand children: Avery Birdwell, Ilee Gibson, Wade Birdwell and Beau Birdwell; brothers: Darrell Large, Joe Large, and David Large plus many cousins, nieces and nephews. Proverbs 31:10 says "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." and continues in verse 30 saying " a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised." Ruth will be remembered as loving, devoted to her family, hard-working, strong, wise and honorable. She worked for 32 years in the Radiology Department at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center and was treasured by her coworkers. Fittingly, the hospital is where she spent her last days. Visitation is 4-6 pm, Sunday, March 9, 2024, Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Chapel with funeral service following with Rev. Keith Shown and Rev. Ron Mouser officiating.
