Pointer, Thomas Marvin - age 81, passed away on March 4, 2014. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Hattie; daughters, Amy Pointer of Baltimore, MD and Beth Joyce of Greensboro, NC; son-in-law, Ian Joyce and grandson, Eli Joyce. Close family and friends: Brothers - Bill, Robert, Donald and Jim; Sisters - Louise Spurling and Wilma Duggan; numerous nieces and nephews, Mildred and Gayle Caughron, Dennis Ledden, David and Faye Irwin and Charles and Carolyn Watson. Preceded in death by mother, Elvie Pointer; sisters, Dorothy Cagle, Ruth Lacey, Helen Melton, and Joyce Davenport. He was retired from the Knoxville Utilities Board and Enterprise Car. He was a deacon and a member of Sunday School Dept. 8B at Central Baptist Bearden where he also served as an usher for many years. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March, 8, 2014 at Central Baptist Bearden at 3 pm. The family will receive following the service.
