

He is survived by his daughters (the pride and joy of his life), Ciarra Light and Karly Light, both of Knoxville, Brooke Delph of AL; new granddaughter, Charley Delph of AL; mother, Betty Light of Kingsport; one brother, Terry Light and wife, Michelle of Kingsport; three sisters, Christine Light Ponichtera of CA; Angie Light and Beverly Marshall, both of Kingsport; nephew, Jared Light; niece, Nichole Marshall; aunts, Thelma Kimberling and Gabby Light; special friend, coach and mentor, Coach Richard Carroll. Tim was blessed abundantly with many, many friends. He was of the Protestant Faith. He attended Ketron High School and graduated from Sullivan North High School. He also attended Walter State and Carson Newman College on a basketball scholarship. Tim served 8 years in the United States Navy, stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was previously an employee of Ted Russell Ford of Knoxville and was currently employed in Pharmaceuticals with D.S.I. of Knoxville. Tim most enjoyed any time with family and friends and riding his motorcycles.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel in Knoxville from 6 – 9 pm and Thursday at East Lawn Funeral Home, 4997 Memorial Blvd., Kingsport, TN 37664 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Friday at 11 am with Full Military Honors provided by Army National Guard at Morrison Family Cemetery in Kingsport. Pallbearers are Brother Terry Light, Doug Jenkins, Doug Lunsford, Barry Jenkins, Chad Thompson, Joe Robinson, Bill McConathey, Mark Shipe, Richard Hillard, Donald Kimbro, Rhett Holderfield, and Houston Brown.
