William Conlon Irwin, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He retired as a craftsman of Local 102 Plumbers and Steamfitter. Preceded in death by parents, Ann Conlon Irwin and Connell Michael Irwin; brother, Curtis Irwin; sisters, Mary Ann Irwin, Beverly Rose James. Survived by loving wife of 30 years, Glenda Irwin; daughter, Heather and husband, Don Gill; grandson, Cody “Man” Cassell; granddaughter, Emma Rose Cassell; mother-in-law, Elsie Thomas; sister-in-law, Susan Bankston; brothers, Bernard Irwin, Chris and wife, Dorothy Irwin; sisters, Ann Marie and husband, Doug Layne, Milly and husband, John Vandergriff; sister-in-law, Cindy Irwin; brother-in-law, Larry James; and a very extended family. The family will receive friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral home, 2300 Adair Dr. with Rev. Calvin Schofield officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 1 at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel to go in procession for the 2:30pm graveside service at Boruff Cemetery.
