June 29th, 1943 - May 16th, 2024
In loving memory, we bid farewell to Beverly Jean Mason, a cherished grandmother, mother, wife, and sister, whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love enriched our lives beyond measure. Beverly was born June 29th, 1943, in Port Huron, Michigan to Lloyd Wilburn Osgood & Margaret (Peg) Elizabeth Osgood. She grew up in Port Huron but spent the last several decades of her life in Harlingen, Texas.
Beverly was the heart and soul of her family and friends, providing unwavering love, support, and guidance to each member. Her quiet resilience and steadfast presence provided a source of comfort and reassurance to all who knew her, leaving an indelible imprint on her family's collective spirit. She was an extremely talented seamstress with the ability to look at a garment and replicate it by making her own sewing pattern. Oh how she loved Facebook (it has to be true, it was on Facebook) and her sweets, whether it be a brownie, slice of pie, candy, or cookie, she loved them all. She was active in the Harlingen Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association with whom she volunteered for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ross Mason, her daughter Chere Lynn Allen, and her siblings James Osgood, Margaret (Peggy) Thompson, Lloyd Osgood Jr., William Osgood, and Frank (Rusty) Allen.
She is survived by her sisters Joyce (Jack) Villarreal & Joanne Hudson, her daughters, Tammy Jackson and Kimberly (Joe) Salazar, her grandchildren, Jacqueline Gomez, Jessica Mason, Nicholas (Lauren) DeGannes, and Tracy John Tallmadge; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Welling, Emma Gomez, Carson Gomez, Noah Villarreal, Evan Villarreal, Adam Villarreal, Ayla Villarreal, and Keziah DeGannes; step-grandchildren Brittany Salazar, Leanna Salazar, Joseph Salazar, and Jennifer Salazar, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
