Celedina, "Cele" as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Lancing Michigan during the migrant working days. She grew up in the close-knit community of La Feria TX. Cele was a big giver and very self-less woman, always putting others first. She was always ready to feed you or anyone with her famous tortillas, refried beans, and chile.
Cele had such huge personality, infectious smile and a laugh that would light up a room. She was a very kind, fun loving, witty and to the point kind of lady, that was truly loved and adored by all those that were lucky enough to know her.
Cele loved God, loved her family, animals, and nature, but one of her biggest passions of all, was her love of plants. She had a definite green thumb when it came to her plants.
Celedina was a mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and a best friend to many. The world has lost a beautiful soul, but the heavens have gained a beautiful angel.
Celedina is survived by her ex spouse, Guadalupe Garcia her children Arturo Ray Garcia (Alejandra Garcia); America Ray Garcia (Paul Lopez) Adriana Ray Garcia; her grandchildren Santiago Vega Jr, Cristian Flores, Arturo Ray Alvarado, Jose Macario Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Sophia Lauren Garcia, Julian Adrian Hernandez, pallbearers Octavio Rubio, Raul Martinez, Aron Torres, Jose Macario Garcia, Troy De La Garza, Arturo Ray Alvarado and Julian Hernandez.
Celedina was preceded in death by her father Jose Salazar and her mother Virginia Garcia.
