David worked in construction for many years. When he wasn't working, he was spending time with his family and enjoying his hobbies. He loved the great outdoors which is why he would spend plenty of time fishing and caring for his farm animals.
David is survived by his wife Maria Del Refugio Mendez, his children Diana Benavides (Arturo); Maria Magdalena Martinez (Belen); Enedelia Robles (Rodolfo); David Mendez Jr. (Christina); Valerie Mendez (Arnulfo); and Jennifer Mendez; his siblings Emma Rodriguez and Juan Mendez.
David was preceded in death by his children Joseph Mendez and Veronica Mendez Hernandez; his siblings Manuel Mendez; Paula Longoria; Maria Saldana; Adan Mendez; Eva Zamorano and Herminia Juarez; and his grandchild Vanessa Garcia.
Mr. Mendez also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
