

Donald was born to parents Harry and Elsie (Spencer) Shank in Marion, Indiana and raised in Lake County, Illinois.
He served his country as a member of the Navy during the Korean War. His hard working personality was shown as he devoted 40 years at Ammco Tools/ Liquid Controls. Don was a man of strong Christian faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harlingen. He loved his family dearly.
Donald is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dionne Dora (Haskell) Shank; his daughters Jody Hay; Lori (Dale) Gwaltney; Stacy (Rob) Reinhofer; his brother Harry R. "Bob" (Bonnie) Shank and his sister Delores Dee; eight grandchildren Ashley, Drew, Sarah, Beth, Taylor, Troy, Claire and Kim; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Simone Kracht and brother-in-law Dennis (Nancy) Haskell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Elsie Shank; his sister Betty Janus; by his son-in-law David Hay; and brothers-in-law Jess Janus, Larry Dee and Wally Kracht.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Alzheimer's Association.
