

Lee was a migrant field worker early in his life, alongside his 14 brothers and sisters. In 1968, he moved to Dallas, Texas. He worked as an assemblyman and trainer for LTV aerospace and defense plant. In 1974, Lee began his employment for the United States Postal Service, where he retired in 2006 after 32 years of service.
Lee had a passion for playing his guitar. He, with his brothers and friends, gathered frequently on the weekends o play and sing rancheras. They also had an annual tradition of serenading from house to house in Weslaco, Texas on Mother's Day. Their love for music has inspired generation of Hernandez family members. Lee continued playing his guitar until his last days.
Lee is preceded in death by his sons, David and Juan Hernandez; his parents, Felix and Nemecia Hernandez, his siblings, Gavina, Julia, Teresa, Jose, Jose Angel, Jose Adrian, Osvaldo, and Jesus Hernandez, Gelacia Fuentes, Tomasa Del Toro, Petra Rivera, and Balvina Vargas.
Lee is survived by his children, Ofelia Lindsey, Daniel Hernandez, Sanjuana Boga, Eliseo (Lee) Hernandez Jr., Gloria, Jessica, Rachel, and Fernando Hernandez; his siblings, Ester, Delfino, and
Felix Hernandez; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on July 5, at The Grace Place, 5950 S. Collins Street, Arlington, Texas 76018.
