Esaú is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Cruz along with parents Juan Sr. and Amparo Mata, brother Juan Mata Jr. (Brittney, Coralee, and Marae), and sister Aridai Deciga (Julio and Baylee).
He was a skilled trombone player and was cofounder of the reggae band Cool Under Fire. Along with music, he loved watching sports, gaming, fishing, and caring for his dogs. His kind heart and comedic personality will be missed by all.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday May 25, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home in La Feria, Texas.
