Mercedes- Felipe Lopez, 84, passed away Sunday February 6, 2016 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. Born to Ascencion Lopez and Rosario Sanchez, Mr. Lopez was a Korean war veteran and longtime employee of Closner construction in Mercedes. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Heavenly Grace Funeral home in La Feria. Graveside funeral services will follow at 3:30 pm at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Sgt.
