It is with a heavy heart that we say good-bye to Gonzalo (Charlie) Diaz. Gonzalo lost his battle from complications of Sepsis. Gonzalo managed his illness with strength, integrity, and grace. Gonzalo’s pride was his family with whom he wanted to spend his final days. He was surrounded by his wife of 66 years, his children, and grandchildren on his final day.
Gonzalo retired from State Farm Insurance Company. He enjoyed volunteering for the Senior Retirement communities where he would call Bingo, sing, and entertain the residents with music, jokes, and an occasional fun karaoke night. He was an avid golfer. He always had a smile on his face, and he extended a hand to help anyone in need.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, 6 children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, all his senior friends on the golf course, and his retirement friends.
