Heaven gained another angel on January 21, 2025, with the passing of Hilda Edna Garcia, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Hilda was born on October 18, 1942, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Cornado Gallegos and Marcela Kramer. She was raised in Alice, Texas, and later moved to the Rio Grande Valley, where she spent the majority of her life.
Throughout her years, Hilda touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated herself to creating a warm, loving home for them. Hilda’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by survived by her sons Oscar Gonzalez (Blanca); Robert Gonzalez (Barbara); David Gonzalez (Alejandra); Roel Gonzalez (Seana); Billy Gonzalez (Gloria); and Arnoldo Gonzalez (Nora); her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will carry on her memory. Hilda’s legacy of love, faith, and strength will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband Pedro S. Garcia; her daughter Nilda Neri Gonzalez; her parents Cornado Gallegos and Marcela Kramer. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
