Juan Carlos Aguilar was born on October 8, 1985 in Harlingen Tx to very loving parents and was the youngest of 4 children. He died in Weslaco on January 21, 2025 from injuries sustained in an auto pedestrian accident on December 24, 2024.
Juan Carlos is preceded in death by both his parents, grandparents and 2 uncles. He is survived by an abundant family and friend network that loved him, by his 3 children; Destiny Marie Aguilar, Kadence Alyssa Aguilar and Juan Carlos Aguilar; and his siblings Carla Aguilar Lester, Erika Aguilar, and Jose Carlos Aguilar.
As a child, Juanca, as everyone that knew him so lovingly called him, was precocious and highly intelligent, oftentimes looking for mischief to get into out of boredom. He was not only highly intelligent, but also incredibly loving, funny, kind, friendly and at times, impulsive, which made him very popular with his friend group, and just plain fun to be around. Juanca had the misfortune of losing both his parents by the time he was 7 years old, and as such, shared his time between Mexico and the United States becoming fluent in both languages and cultures as well as having many enriching experiences in both countries with the family that adored him. Juanca was always looking for ways to make you smile and to ease the tension, he wanted those around him to be happy and he would do what he could to make that happen.
Juanca became a parent at a young age to 3 beautiful children, that had the misfortune to grow up without his full presence. But his love for them was never in question. It was always a great gift to hear him speak of his kids and how great they were, and how much he missed them when he wasn’t around. He had many regrets in his life, but his children were never one of them. He often said he wished he could do better by them and be better for them, he just didn’t know how and loved them the best way he could.
Juanca leaves a big gap in this world and the world now looks a little dimmer that his light has gone out. He will be greatly missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
“I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new I thought about you yesterday And days before that too, I think of you in silence I often speak your name All I have are memories And a picture in a frame Your memory is my keepsake With which I’ll never part God has you in his keeping I have you in my heart.” -Author unknown
