Kathryn Yvonne Jones

Born on October 21, 1934, in Kansas, Kathryn lived a life devoted to her family. Kathryn kindness, strength and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know her.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry L. “Buzz” Jones; her son, Edward J. Jones; Nadine (survivor) and her daughter, Janice K. and Jerry Burkes and son Kelly L. and Eva (survivor) Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri and Dave Newquist along with sister in law Toni Drake.

Kathryn was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Kathryn found her greatest joy in her family. She treasured every gathering, every visit, and every opportunity to share her love, wisdom, and encouragement with the generations that followed her. She also greatly enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and working on crossword puzzles, activities that brought her happiness and many cherished moments with family and friends. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be remembered always.

Though her passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of her family and friends, they find comfort in the many cherished memories she leaves behind and in the enduring legacy of love she created throughout her 91 years.

Kathryn’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
