Ronald Arthur Barnes

As a teenager Ronny had a lawn mowing business and sang in two youth groups: Encore Youth Performers and Young Performing Stars. He enjoyed singing and listening to music, particularly Christian music. He cherished family get-togethers and making people laugh. He graduated from South Houston High School in 1997.

In 2004, he married Melinda Talton and in 2007 they had a son, Caleb, whom he loved very much. Ronny spent as much time as he could with Caleb especially playing video games with him.

Ronny loved the Lord and going to church at King of Kings Lutheran Church and Grace Church, both in Houston. In 2021, he moved to south Texas, where he attended First Assembly of God of McAllen. He would often volunteer at the Salvation Army where he also made several friends.

Ronny passed away on March 20, 2025 in McAllen, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, both maternal and fraternal grandparents, and one cousin. He is survived by his son, Caleb; his mother, Shelley; his stepfather, Richard; his brother, Rich; his stepsister, Angie; his nephew, Kyle; his niece, Kate; his great-nephew, Kam; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
