Ronie brought joy and light to every life he touched. Whether through a warm hug, witty comment, sincere smile, or the countless ways he showed up for others.
Ronie was a man who embraced life fully. His laugh was infectious. He had an eye for photography, capturing moments that spoke louder than words. His love for travel took him on countless adventures, from diving with sharks in Hawaii, to snowboarding the mountains of Colorado. He found strength and focus in working out, but his greatest happiness came from time spent with friends — laughing, connecting, playing games, and being fully present.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Gonzalez, his father, Rudy Tamez Garza, his sisters, Faye Payne and Jailee Gallegos, his fiancé, Jeannette Medellin, and his beloved dog, Kai Garza, as well as many dear friends who were touched by his generous spirit. Though we mourn his loss, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and trust that he is now in perfect peace. His warmth, humor, wit, and compassion will be remembered always.
Visitation for Ronie will be held on June 12, 2025 from 2 pm to 10 pm. A prayer service will start at 7:00 pm. On Friday, June 13, 2025 a Chapel service will occur at 10 am. Burial to follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
His presence was a gift, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
