Roxane "Roxie" Louise Scott, age 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Westfield, New York, to Robert Porter and Marion Porter Gross, Roxie lived a life full of warmth, spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Roxie had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in nature’s simple pleasures. She was happiest surrounded by family, sharing laughter over home-cooked meals, and playing poker with her close circle of friends. Her vibrant personality, generous heart, and fierce loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Roxie is survived by her beloved children: Michael, Diane, and Joe; her siblings: Rose Jackson, Laura Conklin, and Larry Porter; numerous grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply. Among her closest bonds was the one she shared with her sister Rose, with whom she shared countless cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Porter and Marion Porter Gross, and her longtime partner, Skip Canfield.
Roxie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her strength, humor, and unconditional love will never be forgotten.
