Sinforosa Z Soto

Sinforosa (Rose) Soto, age 96, died on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home in Weslaco. From her birth in Relampago, Texas, on December 14, 1921 to her death, she nourished people around her with love, faith and a sense humor. She was born to the late Antonio and Amada Barrera Zamora and was one of five sisters, (Aurora, Lucia, Antonia, and Mary). She was predeceased by her husband Benito S. Soto.

Rose is survived by two sons, George Soto (Kim) and Benito Soto, Jr. (Janie) and one daughter, Liz De La Rosa (Carlos). Seven grandchildren: Mike, Joseph, Ben III, Amanda, Sofiya, Alyssa, and Chelsea. Eight great-grandchildren: Nate, Kaitlyn, Eric, Mark, Anabella Rose, Marilyn, Botond and Arpad.

Viewing will be on Friday from 2 PM to 9 PM with a rosary at 7 PM at the Heavenly Grace Memorial Chapel. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
