He was born to the late Harold David and Valeriene Gullett Murray on May 8, 1963 in LaGrange, Kentucky.
Gale was a member of Clayvillage Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir as he was always musically inclined. He played guitar and wrote a song titled, "Too Long I've Waited". Gale drove a truck his entire working career, lastly working for HEPACO in Shelbyville. Gale enjoyed working with his hands gardening and baking his zucchini or banana bread. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger.
Left to cherish the memory of Gale are his children, Ashley Shields (Seth), Gabrielle Murray (Tyler Davidson), and Gavin Murray; grandchildren, Maxston Shields, Kason Shields, and Scarlett Davidson; siblings, Elaine Murray McClain (James), David Murray (Martha), Dianne James (Dwayne), and Arthur “Dale” Murray (April); beloved cat, Moxy; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Gale's life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY at 4pm with a memorial gathering starting at 1pm until the start of the service. Following services, a meal will be provided at Clayvillage Baptist Church.
