He was born February 3, 1935, in Lexington, Ky, to Archie and Louise Bowles.
He was a member of Covenant Methodist Church. His career was heavy machinery road construction and excavation. In retirement he enjoyed woodworking and playing cards.
He is reunited in heaven with the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Bowles.
Survivors include his sisters Helen Phifer and Deborah Voll. Daughters Beverly Bowles, Betsy Maddox (William) and Bonny Downing; grandchildren Penny Lane-Foust (Aaron), Kenton and Nolan Westerfield and Seth Maddox; great grandson, Aiden Lane. As well as 13 nieces and nephews.
Visitation Thursday from 4-8pm at Covenant Methodist Church and Friday morning from 9:30am until the start of the service. The funeral service will be held at Covenant Methodist Church at 10:30am Friday, Feb 28, 2025 with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery.
