Clayton E. “Bill” Billings (Bunny), age 84, passed from this Earth Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. The eldest son of Bud and Imogene Billings was a native of Oldham County, and a longtime resident of Henry County, Ky.
Billings was a retired GE Maintenance Forman and twice inducted member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Having had a passion for preserving history, he was an avid restorer of Model T Fords and early John Deere tractors, and a charter member of the Kentuckiana Pioneer Power Association. He was a farm boy at heart and never turned a dog away that needed a good home.
Billings was dearly loved by his family and friends. A member of Ballardsville Baptist Church, he enjoyed serving in various mission endeavors.
Clayton was preceded in death by his beloved father, mother, and brother, John Allen Billings. He is survived by his wife, Mavis; his sons Joe (Doris), Ted (Pamela), and Roger (Rose); his step-daughters Joyce Stakelbeck and Debbie Wilson; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four sisters.
A private service was held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, with Rev. Tommy Purvis officiating. Burial took place at Valley of Rest Cemetery.
