I worked with Dan at the State College Lowe's and one could not ask for a better person to be friends with. I'm still in shock over this and my prayers go out to his family.  He will be greatly missed. He was an exceptional kind and caring person who always made you feel good.

After hearing all the amazing things being said about this wonderful man, I know my husband and I missed out on getting to know someone truly exceptional. I also know that he leaves behind a beautiful and equally exceptional family that he will always be proud of. Breanna is an amazing young lady that I consider part of our family, and I know that it took two wonderful people to raise her to be the person she is today. My children adore her even more than we do. We will always be there for you, no matter what. Don't be afraid to ask, now is the time to let others help you carry the burden of your loss. We are just a phone call away.

Dan was not only a co-worker but a friend to me for many years. I will remember his smile and the kindness he showed me over the years. His family was his world and that was evident to all that knew him. Rest in peace my friend. Prayers for comfort to Missy, Breanna, and Jakob.

We are so saddened by the loss of such a great person that we called our friend and our neighbor! We could always count on you to make long lasting memories and smiles! Thinking of you and your family in this very difficult time.This poem was given to me when my mother passed away and has helped me many times when I think of her:

 ~The Broken Chain~
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go along, for part of us wen with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. I am so sorry for your loss. I will most remember Dan for the many conversations about his family and how proud he was to be a dad and husband to such a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

I worked with Dan at Lowes for over 5 years.  Dan always was the one to make a tense situation easier.  He was witty, smart and supportive of his fellow AOMs.  I will miss him greatly and pray for his family.

I worked with Dan back in the mid 1990's in State College, I haven't seen him since then, but the moment I heard this news, the memory of one of the kindest and all around good guys came to mind.  Heaven is a little brighter today. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dan was such an incredible person and left a lasting impression on all the nurses, doctors, and staff in the Neuro ICU at Jewish Hospital. We loved Dan very much and will miss his smile and sense of humor. He was one of the strongest patients we ever cared for.  Missy, Breanna, and Jakob - Dan could not have asked for a better family. Your support touched all of our hearts and he was so lucky to have you. We are so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan as he was on my area staff for almost three years. We spent so many nights on the road as a team. I got to know him and he became my friend. He was a loving father and husband. The joy in his face when he would talk about a wrestling meet or time at home with his daughter would light the room. He would smile and bust with pride. He was a fabulous friend. Loyal. Smart. His kindness could not be denied. Just know Heaven is where he is. Have no doubt in your mind.
