He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Smither.
Survivors include his children: Joey Smither, Sally Mayer (Mike) and Jake Smither (Megan); brother: Paul Smither (Debbie); sister: Teresa Rucker and 9 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 Monday.
