She was born on September 26, 1924 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Leslie and Georgia Derossett.
Dorothy was a member of LaGrange Presbyterian Church and the Oldham County and Louisville Civitan Club. She retired from Cedar Lake Lodge as a Medical Technician.
She was preceded in death by her husband; John "Bob" Taylor, daughter; Roberta Taylor Butrum and siblings; Louis Derossett and Ellen Carol Terrell.
Left to cherish the memory of Dorothy are her children; Thelma Smith, Georgeanna Jackson and David Taylor (Tammy), 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law; Lee Butrum, many extended family and friends.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY with a private burial to follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday from 11am until the start of the service.
Memorial donations can be made to Cedar Lake Lodge in Dorothy's name.
