

Ella Joan Marie Petty, 31, of Louisville, Kentucky tragically passed away the evening of Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was an innocent bystander near the vicinity of an explosion caused by a plane crash.
She was born on June 22, 1994, to Richard Neal Petty and Jodi Petty (now) Mason in Louisville, Kentucky at Suburban Hospital.
Ella was a talented artist, making beautiful drawings and handwriting to express her art. Ella loved tattoos, even doing some of them herself. She enjoyed music and maintaining her Jeep and other vehicles herself, Ella could learn to do almost anything on her own. Ella was an avid cat lover and had an unmatched joy for scratch off tickets. She loved driving and staying busy. She was full of life and energy and very much strong-willed and independent. Even as a toddler, she wanted to do things her way. She brought joy to so many people. She was very generous and would share whatever she had. She always wanted to lend a helping hand and make sure her loved ones were okay and cared for.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Richard Neal Petty; grandparents, James N and Marsha Arlene Smith and James Lee Phillips; stepfather, George Thomas; Nanny's beloved companion, Charles Davidson; and her beloved cat, Chloe.
Left to cherish the memory of Ella are her mother, Nanny and siblings. She was a mom to 3 beautiful daughters, Sophia, Aleah, and Jaida. Mother Jodi Mason and stepfather Troy Lee Mason; siblings, Eric Graham, Julia Graham, Jasmine Mason, TJ Mason, and Emmalee Mason; grandparents, Glinda Joan Phillips, Randall and Myra Petty; aunts, April and Renee, and Renee's daughter Brianne; uncle, James; close cousin, Kayla Kidwell; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Ella's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Noon at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031with burial to follow in Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky. Visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 5-8pm and on Friday morning from 10am until the start of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hope Hill in Ella's memory. During her time at Hope Hill, she received Christ as her Savior.
