She grew up in the west end of Louisville, attended St. Columba grade school and graduated from Shawnee High School; soon after marrying the love of her life. Gail was catholic by faith and spent her life devoted to her family and friends with her final act being that of an organ donor.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Sherman Ray "Red" Wilson Sr. and son; Shawn Richard Wilson.
Survivors include her son; Sherman Ray Wilson Jr, brothers; Michael Patrick Brown (Marie) and Charles Brown Jr (Sondra), grandchildren; Cole Richard Wilson, Clayton Ray Wilson, and Emily Marie Wilson, daughter-in-law; Stefanie DeGrella Wilson-Payton, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11am at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in LaGrange, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
