Gilbert was born on February 14, 1928 to the late Rollie and Eva Jaggers Constant in Annetta, Kentucky.
He was a Mechanic by trade and belonged to the Union.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a grandson; Cory Constant.
Left to cherish the memory of Gilbert are his sons; Kenny Constant (Carolyn) and Kim Constant (Diane), and great-grandson; Darian Constant.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home at 12:30pm with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10 until the start of the service at the funeral home.
