Harvey Louis Stucker, age 67 of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away March 15, 2023 at the very place he loved and cherished with his family, Stucker Farms. Born November 8, 1955 in Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harvey Lee and Nancy Carol Stucker.
Harvey worked for BFI/Republic Services for 32 1/2 years and recently retired on February 17, 2023. With his time of employment there he gained multiple friendships that blossomed into an extended family. Harvey was such a hardworking man and when he wasn't working at his job, he was farming. He shared his love of the farm with his entire family, providing many memories with his children and grandchildren, but worked in partnership with two of his sons, Harvey and Dallas. Together they own and operate Stucker Farms. Harvey enjoyed hunting, but his love for hunting extended beyond the thrill of getting a big kill. It was more the time spent with family.
Harvey's greatest accomplishment was the life he built with his beloved wife, Sheree. Sheree was the love of his life and even as stubborn as he could be at times he often described her as "one of a kind", "such a special person", and also expressed that "he couldn't lose her because she's his number one." His children and grandchildren were everything to him. He was a good dad but an even better Pop. The love he had for his family was truly inspiring. Everything Harvey did, it was for his family.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheree Stucker; their children: Peter Mekara and his fiancée Jennifer, Harvey C. Stucker and his wife Shauna, Rebecca Thomas and her husband Cody, Dallas Stucker and his wife Emily, and Cheyenne Stucker and her partner Tanner; their grandchildren: Jewell, Jocie (Jo), Blake, Blane, Jordyn (Jordy), Harlee, Harvey Riley, Connor, Myles (Mouse), Owen (Cricket), and Jarett Louis (tater wedge); his siblings: Mary Stivers (Ronnie), Charlene Jennings (Ray), and the men whom he considered as his brothers, Dave Stucker, Ray Jennings, and Pat Stucker; and many more extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Connie, his mother-in-law: Helen (Honey), and two nephews: Johnny and Brandon.
A Celebration of Harvey’s life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3pm with Burial to follow at Stucker family cemetery in Campbellsburg. Visitation will be 11am on Sunday until time of service.
