

Jim was born and raised in Vermilion and has been of LaGrange, KY since 1998. He was a Ford Motor Co. Employee for 20 years. He worked at the Kentucky Truck Plant as a Journeyman Pipefitter having graduated from Jefferson Community College. He was a member of U.A.W. local 862.
Jim loved his family and was an avid boater and fisherman. Jim especially loved boating on Lake Erie having completed the Great Lakes Charter Training Class in 1994. Jim was a devoted NASCAR fan loving to attend races. As a teenager, Jim loved BMX racing and was involved in BMX racing with his two sons that raced for Derby City Louisville.
He is survived by his two loving sons: James (Jimmy) B. Hunter and Jonathan T. Hunter, both of LaGrange; father: Robert Bennett Hunter (Barbara) of Greenwood MS; mother: Barbara R. Hunter of Vermilion OH; brother: George Robert (Rob) Hunter (Beverly Baxter) of Wakemon OH; Aunt: Mary Ann Carroll of Bratenahl OH; the mother of his sons: Sherry A. Hunter; niece: Krystal and a great niece: Natalie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jack and Mary Shuman of the Sandusky, Vermilion area and Robert B. and Evelyn G. Hunter of Vermilion.
He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be on Sunday from 2-4 PM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
