He was born in Louisville, KY to the late William David and Virginia Anna (Cundiff) McClellan on July 19, 1956.
Jim worked and retired from Aggressive Tool and Die and he enjoyed camping and fishing at Green River Lake.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Ethyl David McClellan.
Left to cherish the memory of Jim are his wife of 33 years; Barbara H. McClellan, children; Jason Hayes (Jennifer) and Heather McClellan, bonus kid, Kali Voss (Will); Grandchildren, Amaranta Hayes, and Arden Hayes; siblings, Carol Saunders, Joann Thomas (Jim), Janice"Cricket" Brent (Bob), Karon McClellan, Jerry McClellan; life long best friend Bob McKinley; In-laws, Virgil and Mary Hayes; and extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 on Monday, January 16th at 6 pm with visitation from 2 pm until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim's name to WHAS Crusade for Children.
