He was born on November 22, 1955 to the late Susan Osburn Walter and Klaus Walter in Huntington Station, NY.
Kurt was involved with aviation for 51 years. He worked for UPS as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager from where he retired after 27 years. Kurt loved boating and was proud to complete the Great Loop in October 2018, with his beloved wife. He was a Scout Leader for Troop 167 and enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and lunch with friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. Kurt was a member of Southeast Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister; Ruby Ross.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years; Barbarajean Walter, children; Krista Moore (Mathew), Kera Walter and Phillip Walter (Kelsey), grandsons; Evan and Michael Moore, siblings; Kim Spence (David), Konrad Walter (Kathy) and Katie Walter and Kris Walter, and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Kurt will be held at Southeast Christian Church, Crestwood Campus (6220 Crestwood Station Crestwood KY 40014) on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
