Lilly Bee Payne, 88, of New Albany, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

She was born on November 8, 1931 to the late Raymond and Delta Ardella (Taylor) Arnett in Giddeon, MO.

Lilly was raised in and around rural southeast Missouri where she met and married her husband; Bill Payne, in St. Louis, MO in 1949. They were married for 52 years until his death in February 2001.

She was preceded in death by her siblings; Lucille Highley and Curtis Arnett.

Left to cherish the memory of Lilly are her children; Toni Hagar (Charles), Dennis Payne (Janice) and Bill Payne Jr. (Jennifer), 7 grandchildren; Nadine Hager, Roseann Hager, Sarah Payne, Michael Mathesius (Laura), Matthew Mathesius (Lisa), Gregory Mathesius (Rena) and Zachary Payne (Cassie), 10 great-grandchildren; Skyler, Hailey, Makayla, Grayson, Nicole, Matthew Jr., Noah, Addison, David and Kaylee, siblings; Charles Arnett and Dora Brower, extended family and friends.

Her urn will be placed at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date as well as a celebration of life.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Lilly's name.
