

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 14, 1980. Malina attended Butler High School before graduating from Doss High School in 1998. She started her working career at Louisville Slugger and moved to Network Marketing for Younique before becoming a Residential Real Estate Agent for Schuler-Bauer.
Malina's main goal was to inspire and empower others in everything she did. She used her own personal fight to challenge others to listen to their own bodies and be an advocate for their health.
Above all she loved being a Mom and GiGi.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Paul Mullinix and grandparents, Jerry and Kathleen Owens.
Left to cherish the memory of Malina are her husband, Bryan Burton; children, Alahna Leonardo-Salyer (Jordan), Elijah Carnell, and Bentley Burton; grandson, Asher Cooper; mother, Donna Owens; sisters, Holly Mullinix and Sarah McCoubrey; extended family and so many friends.
A celebration of Malina's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Noon at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 with private burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 2-8pm and Friday morning from 10am until the start of the service. In the spirit of Valentine's Day please wear pink, red, and white to celebrate the joy and love Malina brought to the world.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Shirley's Way or The Leslie and Rhyan Prather Foundation in Malina's memory.
Malina's inspiring life and contagious spirit will live on in all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
