Sue was born on Monday, November 26, 1962, in Barbourville, Kentucky, to the late Letcher and Ruby (Phipps) Gray and lived a life centered on faith, family, and bringing joy to those around her.
She retired from the United States Postal Service (USPS) as a rural carrier in LaGrange, Kentucky.
Sue had a passion for shopping, especially for clothing and home décor. The beach held a special place in her heart, with Panama City being her favorite escape and “happy place.”
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Sue found great joy in studying the Word of God and guiding others toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She held firmly to a “family first” mentality and ensured her loved ones felt supported and cared for. Known for being a wonderful cook and her great sense of humor, Sue will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Amy Brown, and her siblings, Joyce Howser, Mark Allen Shelton, Wanda Shelton, and Timmy Gray.
Left to cherish the memory of Sue are her devoted husband, Carl Brock Jr.; her loving children, Dana Rogers (Patrick), Jonathan Brown, and Dusty Brock (Megan); her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Clark (Chris), Sara Courtney (Christian), and Conner Williams; and her precious great-grandchildren, Novaleen and Naomi Clark. She also leaves behind her sisters, Julie Almond (Adam Daniels) and Kristie McKinney (Bobby), along with a large circle of extended family and dear friends.
Cremation has been chosen, and the family will hold private services.
In memory of Sue, think of her as you read your Bible, share the Word of God with others, and live in a way that reflects her hope of being reunited one glorious day in Heaven.
