She was a retired Deputy County Clerk and a Methodist. Mary Jo will always be remembered as a snappy dresser and a great cook, especially her green beans and cheese grits. She loved the beach, going to the YMCA, NASCAR, and cats and always watched the Young and the Restless between 4 and 5 PM.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold Black.
Survivors include her children: Scott Black (Teresa) and Kathy Black-Dennis (Gary); sister: Kathleen McDonald; and her grandchildren she loved dearly: Harrison Black and Kate Dennis.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday.
