Michael Craig Lewis

Born October 1, 1965, James and Flora (Thomas) Lewis in Chicago, Illinois. Mike graduated from Oldham County High School, Class of 1983. Through the years, he worked for Kroger in LaGrange, Cat Tech, Purnell Sausage, and Thomas Movers.

Mike found genuine joy in the simple, lasting gifts of time spent outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing with his brother, Mark, and the boys—moments marked by patience, quiet companionship, and the kind of presence that turns ordinary days into treasured memories. In the community, he gave of himself by coaching football with the Oldham County Youth League, offering guidance and consistency to young athletes. In his younger years, he was also an avid bowler, bringing the same focus and commitment to the lanes that he carried into so many parts of life.

A member of Pleasantview Baptist Church, Michael’s faith and fellowship were an important part of his life and community.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Ann Thomas Lewis, and a host of aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Liltoyria Petrie (Daniel) and James Michael Lewis; grandchildren, Jayla Lewis, Tiana Matanovic, Tian Matanovic, Grayson Patrie, Torian Matanovic, Jya Lewis, and Jaleah Lewis; father, James Lewis; siblings, Mark Lewis (Angela), Kathy Lewis, Kimberly Blackburn, and Karen Horton (Will); aunts and uncles, Billy Thomas (Jenny), Trisha Mosby, Kathy Crush-Gray; a host of nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location on May 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in Eminence Cemetery.
