He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and an Army Veteran. For 38 years, Mike was a cattle buyer for the Bourbon Stockyards, then went to Finchum Trucking before starting Monohan Inc. and later retired. Big Mike enjoyed his Henry County farm, dove hunting with his son, grandson and son-in-law and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed being a member of the Pendleton McDonalds Liars Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Thomas Shahan Sr. and Ethel Lee Hughes Monohan; brother: Thomas Shahan Monohan Jr. and sister: Patricia Lee Monohan.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Sissy” Yager Monohan, and was the love of her life for 51 years; children: Michael Hughes Monohan Jr. (Monica) and Sheryl Ann Ray (Carl); grandchildren: Austin Michael Monohan and Morgan Ariel Monohan; and a sister: Sadie Michel Monohan.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. Visitation 4-7 PM on Friday
