He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, former owner of Oldham County Cab Company and Accent Limo. He also served as Oldham County Jailer for 8 years.
Preceding him in death was his granddaughter: Brandy Kirby; brothers: Raymond and Roger Dale Simpson.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Shirley; daughters: Wanda Henry (Scott), Lorie Harroff (David) and Jeanette Johnson (Timothy); 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons, brothers: Bill, Larry and Michael Simpson; sisters: Lois Glen, Nita Clark and Peggy Kamer.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday.
