He was a farmer, a school bus driver for 35 years, former city council member, Board of Appeals and Adjustments for Oldham County, AAA insurance agent and founding member of Oldham County Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Ruth Churchman Hampton; son: Berry Hampton (Donna); grandchildren: Goddard Hampton (Jennifer), Shannon Duff (CMDR Gavin), Taylor Phillips (Jay) and Tripp Hampton; 10 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Valley of Rest Cemetery.
