He was born to the late John Robert and Dorothy Gehring Parrish in Brownsboro, Kentucky on September 23, 1930.
Bob was a lifetime member of Harrod's Creek Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon for many years. Bob had a servant's heart, delivering meals on wheels and working with Baptist Builders to renovate many establishments in the state. He was a proud US Army Veteran, learning to be a tank mechanic. He used that education to own and operate Parrish Implement Company with dad and brother. Bob loved to travel, taking two-week camping trips with his children when they were younger. Later taking trips with his wife throughout Europe and Mexico, his favorite trip was to Normandy.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Ada Ruth Parrish.
Left to cherish the memory of Bob are his children, Doug Parrish (Jamie) and Michelle Feger (Ken); grandsons, Jimmy Parrish (Amanda) and Joshua Feger (Lissa Wight); great-granddaughters, Katherine Parrish, Joan Parrish, and Jacqulyn Feger; brother, Buford Parrish (Margaret); extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, Lagrange on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11am with burial to follow in Harrod's Creek Cemetery. A time of visitation will be on Friday evening from 4-7pm.
