He was born to the late Russell and Virginia Thomas on July 28, 1941 in LaGrange, KY.
Red was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying fishing and hunting both deer and turkey. He retired from General Electric.
Preceding him in death are his parents and wife; Shelba Jean Thomas.
Left to cherish the memory of Red are his daughters; Jody Thomas Khrestinin (Kirill) and Cara Thomas, step-son; Terry Knoy, step-daughter; Catherine Boyer (Jim), granddaughter; Amber Mitchell, brother; Larry Thomas (Mila), niece; Kim Masco (Art), nephew: Alan Thomas (Karen), and great-nieces; Alexis, Savanah, Cheyenne, Kennedy, and Brooklynn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2pm with burial to follow at Valley of Rest. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 3-8 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to honor the memory of Red can be made to National Stroke Association.
