He was a committeeman for the Ford Truck Plant and UAW retiree after 38 years and owner of SRW Services.
Preceding him in death was his son Shawn Richard Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Gail Darlene Wilson; son Sherman Ray Wilson Jr.; brothers: Stanley Wilson (Judy) and Wilbur Wilson (Diane); sister: Sandra Farris (Randall); grandchildren: Cole Richard Wilson, Clayton Ray Wilson and Emily Marie Wilson: daughter-in-law; Stefanie DeGrella Wilson-Payton; special niece Jennifer Farris Newton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Wednesday.
