She was retired form Capital Holding after 33 years.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Scott Boykin; granddaughter; Courtney Nicole Modesty; twin sister, Wilda Montgomery; sister, Ramona Stewart Smiley and brothers, William Mathis and Howard "Bud" Mathis Jr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Marie and Larry Modesty; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Service will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 10 AM until service time on Wednesday.
