

She was born to the late Henry and Caroline Koch on the family farm in Owensville, Missouri on 5/11/1922. "Bee", the 7th of 10 siblings, left the farm to join her brothers and sisters in LA where she finished high school and later met her future husband, the late John Howard Morton. Bee and "Jack" married in 1943 during his service as a bombardier with the Army Air Force in WWII. Jack joined Shell Oil Co. as an accountant after the war and they lived together in Los Angeles, CA, Cheyenne, WY, Denver, CO, New York, NY and Midland, TX before settling in Houston, TX. Their only child, Nancy was born in 1954 during their time in Denver.
Bee was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, an avid bridge player, a golfer and a good friend to everyone she encountered.
Bee is survived by two sisters: June Limberg and Estella Ash of Lompoc, CA; her daughter Nancy Pickford of Lakeway, TX; two grandsons, Travis Pickford of Round Rock TX and Michael Pickford of Austin TX; and her great grandson Cason Pickford of Round Rock.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack, as well as her mother, father and 7 of her siblings, Gertrude Marie Koch, Calvin Henry Koch, Virgil Herman Koch, Raymond William Koch, Clifford Frank Koch, Telfair Henry Koch, Dorothy Marie Koch; and her niece Connie Marie Koch.
The family would like to express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Emeritus at Vista Oaks and to Hospice of the Hills for their loving care and concern during this difficult time.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, 9/5/2013 at 2pm at the Houston National Cemetery (Section G-2, Space 2421) . Bee and Jack will finally be reunited.
