

Judge Charles R. Webb passed away Friday February 13, 2015 surrounded by loved ones after an eleven year battle with multiple myeloma. Judge Webb was born to Hugh and Evelyn Webb on August 20, 1943 in Dallas TX. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas before enlisting with the Army in 1962. While in the Army, he was stationed in Germany where he developed a life-long love for German culture, arts, and especially automobiles. He returned to the states and Graduated from The University of Texas with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence in a record five years. He made his home in Austin and built an amazing life and legacy there in the years that followed. He was elected Judge of Travis County Precinct 2 in 1974 and served two consecutive terms before returning to private practice. He returned as a visiting Judge years later and founded "Our Mission Possible", a program designed to "ignite big dreams" and better the lives of teens who had stumbled into the judicial system. He believed in mentoring these kids and giving them the opportunities to correct their mistakes and learn to make better choices in the future.
Judge Webb also became very involved in real estate and had a hand in the development of numerous commercial and private developments over his lifetime. He was a very gifted artist and he created fountains as well as sculptures which remain as a reminder of his legacy. His passion in life was creating. He found great joy when he was designing and building, whether it be an actual building, landscaping, or bronze or acrylic sculpting.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh McDowell Webb and Dona Evelyn Swain Webb. He is survived by two children, Lisa Diane Edwards and Wyatt Warren Brown, three sisters, Jeanne Jacobs Lindsey and her husband Jim, Kathy Jones, and Leslie Webb, three grandchildren Chelsea Moore Sparks, Ryan Moore and his wife Amy, and Kassidi Kiihnl, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone who generously gave their time, love and compassion to Charles over the last several months of his care.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
