He is survived by his parents, Noralene Vehmeier and Jerry Wayne Knight, his loving wife, Kelly Barnhill Knight, seven children Michael Knight and daughter-in-law Daniela Knight, Mallory Knight, Evan Knight, Cody Knight, Ella Knight, Taylor Barnhill, Morgan Barnhill, and one grandchild Adriana Knight. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Knight Love, and three brothers, Randall Knight, Phil Green, and Ray Green.
Ric grew up in Michigan and graduated from Adrian College. He and his wife Kelly moved to Austin in 1998.
Ric was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid golfer but above all his greatest love was his family.
Ric will lie in state from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 Ranch Road 620 South in Lakeway.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Caves Road in Austin. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive.
