How sad.  I've worked for John, with him, and around him in Dubai for many years and in Arkhangel - Russia for more years. Wherever he went he made a big difference, increasing production, lifting morale, tutoring fresh graduates and adding spice and joy to any get-together.  His motto was "Bloom, wherever you are" which was hand made and framed by Jenny and kept on his desk.  And he did.

I remember when I was a little girl John Thomas almost cut his nose off riding his motorcycle. I believe that was the end of the motorcycle.

Boss, coworker, neighbor and friend are some of the ways we knew John.   We will miss him very much.  Our time together in Moscow, Dubai and Spring Branch were the best of times.  John’s sense of humor, during good times and bad, was a characteristic we will never forget.   John was a good friend, trustworthy manager and we all respected him.    Rest In Peace dear friend

I loved my time working with John while I was in London and John in Moscow - what a decent, kind, upstanding man he was.  I treasure the time we spent together.

So sorry to hear of his passing, John was a great engineer and a good friend who helped so many Conoco employees over his long career.  He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

John was a highly respected colleague at Conoco and always enjoyable to be around.  He made many contributions to the company's success over the years.  He will be missed.  My condolences to John's family.

I’m so sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was one of the nicest guys I worked with at Conoco. You are in my thoughts and prayers. 

A warm and pleasant acquaintance that began while attending Conoco's young engineering training sessions together became a life long close friendship when we served together in Dubai.  John and Jenny will be sorely missed and forever remembered by us.
